  • The Discovery Process

  • The Design Phase

    Our design process begins with a high-fidelity concept page, allowing you to visualize the look and feel of your new store. Once the concept is refined and signed off (with up to two rounds of feedback), we move into the full design roll-out. Our team creates a complete UI design in Figma, including every essential component: homepage, collection pages, product pages, cart, blog, and more. Each design element undergoes rigorous internal QAQC to ensure it meets our high standards. When you’re satisfied with the final designs and have provided sign-off on these, we proceed to the scoping phase.

  • Scoping

    While we will provide you a narrow range of development costs during our proposal process, once the designs have been signed off, we conduct a detailed scoping process to finalize the development plan and provide a fixed-cost proposal. 50% of the develompent fees are payable before development begins and the final 50% is due half way through our development phase.

  • Front End Development

    During development, each section is meticulously built and reviewed by a peer developer and designer, ensuring the code is dynamic, Optimised, and aligned with the original design. Our stringent QAQC process includes multi-level testing to catch any discrepancies, while our Head of Design and Development conducts a final review. This careful approach guarantees a pixel-perfect, high-performing store ready for the next stage.

  • Final QAQC

    Once all sections for the new site have passed through peer Code Review and design QAQC as well as Final Review by our Head of Design and Development, we then QAQC the site in its entirety to ensure that the final result looks exactly like the designs you signed off. Once we have the go-ahead from our Head of Design and Development, we'll handover the final preview link and a checklist for your team to review.

  • Go Live

    Once you've signed off on the new site, we'll liaise for the go-live date. Our team is available to address any issues that may arise during the go-live process, providing you with support to ensure a smooth transition. We plan launches carefully, avoiding late afternoons and Fridays to ensure optimal support. After launch, we offer optional post-launch support through our Maintenance Program or CRO Plus Program, allowing us to make data-driven optimizations to keep your store performing at its best.

  • Third-Party App and API Setup (not confirmed in Discovery or Proposal)
    If there are third-party app or API setups not discussed and agreed upon during the Discovery or Sales Proposal stages, these will not be covered in the fixed cost of the project. We recommend that all desired integrations be identified early to ensure a smooth setup and accurate cost assessment.
  • Content Population
    We provide an actionable checklist to guide your team in updating copy and uploading imagery across the site. However, Blend does not create or populate content on the site. Your team will be responsible for all written and visual content required for launch.
  • Third Party App Costs
    The cost of any third-party apps used on your Shopify store is not included in our redesign package. While we can recommend the best apps to support your goals, these apps are typically billed by the provider.
  • Language Population
    For brands selling in multiple markets, we code the site to support language translations through Shopify Markets. However, your team will be responsible for populating and managing translations to ensure accurate and localized content across regions.
  • Inventory Management and Integrations
    Our redesign service does not include inventory uploads or management, whether directly within Shopify or through an external inventory management system. We’ll structure the site to ensure inventory data displays correctly on product pages as per the design, but ongoing management of this data remains the client’s responsibility.

Frequently Asked Questions about Shopify Redesigns

What is your turnaround time for a Shopify redesign?

Generally, we’ll need up to 2 months for the Discovery and Design phase, although this can sometimes be reduced substantially if your team is able to provide feedback and sign off in a quick turnaround.  Development takes 6-10 weeks (depending on the complexity), and we recommend allowing at least 1-2 weeks for your team to review the site and our developers to implement any bug fixes (if needed) before we agree to our go-live date.

Do you only work with Shopify redesigns? Or do you redesign other eCommerce platforms too?

While we can do migrations from other platforms, we generally prefer to work with brands who are already on Shopify. We are Shopify experts and only redesign sites for Shopify specifically.

Can you manage our Shopify store for us?

Depending on your exact needs, we can provide fully managed services where needed. If this is what you need, you might be interested in our Shopify Maintenance services or perhaps you're looking to grow with our CRO Plus program.

How much is this going to cost me?

Typically, Redesign projects start around £35K (ex VAT) or $44K, and this includes Discovery, Design, Development and our robust QAQC procedure.
