Our client’s PerTronix and Aeromotive are sister sites, so we wanted to test a banner on each site that allowed users to switch between them easily to find what they needed. The hypothesis was that if each site links to one another within the site, sales will increase as well as benefit SEO.

The Results

When analysing all data, we found that global navigation increased sales by directing users to relevant brand pages and successfully gained visitors to different sites. For PerTronix, we noted a +46.84% increase in eCommerce Conversion Rate, a +21.83% increase in Add to Cart Rate, and a +43% increase in Average Purchase Revenue per User. For Aeromotive, we noted a +0.88% increase in Collection Page Visits, a +28% increase in eCommerce Conversion Rate, and a +49% increase in Average Purchase Revenue per User. We implemented Variant 1 permanently on both sites.
