Here’s a quick CRO Agent “build-in-public” update for you…
We’re onboarding our first alpha tester next week 💪
Extremely excited to start testing it in the wild.
But I will be lying if I said I was not nervous as all hell.
This week, we’ve been running her, ‘Brenda the Blender’ (that's the name we picked), using our own website data (a service-based business, not even an ecommerce store).
Just trying to validate:
- Does it pull the right data?
- Is it pulling the story together without hallucinating?
- Do the insights, recommendations and prioritisation features all flow correctly and make sense?
Not really paying attention to the actual insights and advice it was generating.
But even then, a few things stood out that were too useful to ignore at that time.
These are 3 of them:
- A key referral source was being tracked in a way that would skew reporting
Not catastrophic, but enough of an issue to skew our data and ultimately marketing decisions.
- Showed us a sudden spike on one particular landing page, revealing where the traffic came from and identifying follow-up content ideas we can use to replicate the success.
- A messaging gap we are not taking advantage of based on competitor insights. It flagged a key messaging angle that a competitor is leaning into quite hard, which we barely talk about but really should be. This is also going straight into our content plan.
It’s a pretty awesome feeling to see something like this come together and actually give this level of insight and depth in the recommendations to fix/improve the situation.
