106% Increase in Revenue from Landing Page Design

The Brief

Gutology, a UK-based eCommerce store that focuses on improving gut health, approached Blend in February 2023, requesting the design and build of two landing pages. They realised that most people go to their general practitioner and receive the same products as the next person. Working alongside NHS, they knew they could provide life optimisation for their customers, and their goal was to have two niche landing pages based on where customers were in their gut health journey. 

 

One of these landing pages had the goal of selling their eCommerce gut health products, while the other was a service-based page aimed at selling higher-ticket products like personalised consultations and plans with nutritionists. 

 

Each landing page required a different layout, design, and even different copy, as they were appealing to two different audiences. Of course, we also recommended Videowise in order to push their video content and make the experience more interactive with their customers. Blend had to recommend the use of Recharge as well to help Gutology launch a subscription service and increase the Customer Lifetime Value of their customers. 

How Blend helped

After a discovery call between Blend’s team and Gutology’s team, we had many questions answered revolving around Gutology’s business model, their customers’ problems that they are looking to solve, what their USPs are, their values and principles, their brand guidelines, and any additional information needed for the design and implementation. 

 

Armed with this information, our team was able to begin the design process.

 

The service landing page was aimed at targeting symptoms, how Gutology works, testimonials and reviews, and more information on Gutology nutritionists. Each section was built, and the copy was strategically written on the basis that these customers are looking for long-term solutions to their symptoms. 

 

The product landing page was aimed at providing conversion-critical questions such as product certifications, ingredients, checkout safety, and average reviews. Upon scrolling, customers will find detailed information and copy explaining the science behind Gutology and why it’s the best solution for them based on their gut health needs. 

 

These two landing pages launched on May 3rd, 2023. But our relationship with Gutology did not end there. They returned shortly after requesting custom development in setting up their Recharge subscription program and assisting them in offering their customers a 7-day free trial for their probiotic toothpaste product, at the end of which customers were entered into a 30-day subscription automatically. This first launched on July 3rd before a few tweaks were made, and it was relaunched on July 18th. 

The results

Gutology has seen excellent results both from the two landing pages as well as the subscription program implementation. The return for the subscription program development alone is a clear testament to the quality of work Blend produced. Additionally, because of our components-based approach to development, Gutology has even been able to utilise some of the built sections to form a new homepage for the brand to launch.
